Storyline
Simplemente María is a Mexican telenovela produced by Ignacio Sada Madero for Televisa and originally broadcast on Las Estrellas from November 9, 2015, to July 31, 2016. It is a remake of the 1989 telenovela of the same name, based on the original story by Celia Alcántara. Adapted by Gabriela Ortigoza and Alberto Gómez, and directed by Mónica Miguel and Claudio Reyes Rubio, it stars Claudia Álvarez, José Ron, Ferdinando Valencia, Arleth Terán, Ana Martín, René Strickler, Norma Herrera, and Carmen Becerra. The story follows María Flores, a humble young woman who moves to Mexico City seeking a better future.
